Work Flows
User work flows capture the primary tasks that users are expected to perform with the site/application. They illustrate both user and system actions and are a useful tool for scoping the wireframing effort. Work flows are also valuable as a project planning document and for guiding discussions and setting expectations with the development team.

Typically a site/application is used by a variety of users with different needs and behaviors. Creating scenarios for each major user type helps in the development of an information architecture that meets the needs of these targeted users.
